1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting services, signing a contract, or using our website, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services
Alta Roofing, LLC provides residential roofing services including inspections, repairs, replacements, and insurance claim assistance in the greater Austin, Texas area. We do not provide architectural, engineering, or design services. If plans or specifications are required, the customer is responsible for obtaining them from a licensed professional.
3. Estimates & Proposals
- All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided unless otherwise stated
- Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection
- Additional work discovered after project commencement may result in additional charges
- Final pricing may vary based on actual conditions, material costs, or unforeseen circumstances
4. Payment Terms
- A deposit may be required before work begins
- For insurance claims: payment is due upon receipt of insurance proceeds
- For non-insurance work: payment terms will be specified in your contract
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
- Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee
- Accounts past due may be subject to collection fees and interest
5. Warranties
Workmanship Warranty: Alta Roofing provides a 10-year labor warranty on all installations.
Manufacturer Warranty: Material warranties are provided by the manufacturer and vary by product.
Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage caused by:
- Acts of God (storms, hail, wind, falling objects)
- Improper maintenance or neglect
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs by others
- Normal wear and tear
- Failure to address known issues in a timely manner
6. Insurance Claim Assistance
- We assist homeowners with the insurance claim process as a courtesy
- We are not a public adjuster, attorney, or insurance representative
- Final claim decisions are made by your insurance company
- You are responsible for your deductible and any costs not covered by insurance
- We cannot guarantee insurance approval or coverage amounts
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate property and contact information
- Ensure safe access to the work area
- Remove vehicles from the driveway and work area
- Move or cover items in the attic to prevent dust/debris damage
- Remove fragile items from walls that may be affected by vibration
- Inform us of any known hazards, underground utilities, or property concerns
- Obtain HOA approval if required before work begins
8. Property Access & Photography
- You grant Alta Roofing permission to access your property to perform agreed services
- You grant permission for Alta Roofing to photograph and video your property and completed work for use in marketing materials, social media, and our website unless you notify us in writing that you do not consent
9. Limitation of Liability
- Alta Roofing is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, interior damage, landscaping damage from necessary work activities, or damage caused by others
- Our liability is limited to the cost of repairing or replacing defective workmanship
- We are not liable for delays due to weather, material shortages, permit delays, or circumstances beyond our control
- In no event shall our total liability exceed the contract amount
10. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellation before work begins: Customer may be liable for costs already incurred (materials ordered, permits pulled)
- Cancellation after work begins: Customer is responsible for payment for work completed
- Rescheduling due to customer unavailability may result in scheduling delays
- Weather-related rescheduling is at no additional charge
11. Force Majeure
Alta Roofing is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, material shortages, labor disputes, or government actions.
12. Materials
- Materials removed during roofing work (old shingles, underlayment, flashing, etc.) become the property of Alta Roofing and will be disposed of properly
- Salvageable materials you wish to keep must be communicated before work begins
13. Permits & Inspections
- Alta Roofing will obtain necessary permits where required
- Permit fees are included in our estimates unless otherwise noted
- Customer agrees to allow access for required inspections
- Final inspection approval is the responsibility of the permitting authority
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through mediation or binding arbitration in Travis County, Texas, in accordance with Texas law.
15. Changes to Terms
Alta Roofing reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
