Two licenses. Two businesses. Never the same property.
Alta Roofing, LLC is a Texas roofing contractor. Our founder, Christopher Ryan Hetzner (“Chris”), also holds a Texas public insurance adjuster license (TDI License #3524086) and provides public adjusting services exclusively through a separate, individual practice. Texas law (Tex. Ins. Code §4102.163) — and our own policy — strictly separates these two roles. Here is exactly how that separation works.
Alta Roofing Never Adjusts Claims
As your roofing contractor, Alta Roofing inspects, documents, repairs, and replaces roofs. Alta Roofing never adjusts, negotiates, or advises on insurance claims, and never acts on a homeowner's behalf with an insurance company. Decisions about your insurance claim are always yours.
The Adjusting Practice Never Touches Alta's Properties
The public adjusting practice never performs, bids on, or profits from repairs on any property where it serves as public adjuster — and never adjusts a claim on any property Alta Roofing has inspected, bid on, or worked on. This exclusion is permanent for each property, in both directions.
Every Engagement Is Conflict-Checked
Before either business takes on a property, its address is checked against the other business's complete records. If there is any history — an inspection, a bid, a repair, an adjusted claim — the engagement is declined and we refer you to an independent professional.

A public adjuster is your advocate in an insurance claim. Texas law ensures that advocacy is never compromised by a financial stake in the repair work — and we think that is exactly right. Whichever service you engage, you get a professional whose only interest is doing that one job well.
